What defines a room? Is it the structure itself? Four walls and a door, maybe some stairs? Maybe it’s the contents of the room, pieces curated to fit your specific style and taste. Others may say it’s the feeling a room evokes, shaped by memories collected over time. Or maybe, it’s the present moment and the people in it that define a room, as dynamic and ever-changing as the individuals that pass through its doors.
As a creative who’s passion is interior design, I ask myself this question every time I walk into a room. I envision what the owner of the room wanted me to see, feel, even taste, each time I enter a new space. I seek things out that leave me feeling inspired. Whether it’s a handcrafted silver bangle made by a Japanese metalsmith or an exceptional cocktail enjoyed at my all-time favorite bar Death & Co. I am the type of person who is stimulated by my environment and every detail that creates it, bringing this passion, attention to detail and storytelling into each and every space I design.
